I know there is lot of info regarding the personal statement in the FAQ section. But i am applying for Fall 06 to FAMU and don't have a lot of time as i am finishing my pre reqs(19 credits) right now. I don't know from where to start my personal statement. Can someone please give me the rough outline of the personal statement i mean the structure of the personal statement .

Well that's hard to say, but one of the things you definetly HAVE to write about is why you want to go to pharmacy school.
You can add other things like, what influenced you to choose pharmacy, how you think you would be a great candidate. Also mention your extracurricular activities or pharmacy experience if you have any that would make you a great candidate. Add stories and examples of your experiences. Then if you have any Cs or failing classes, you should explain that as well and why.
That about sums it up I think. Make a basic outline of those things, and then start writing your personal statement.
So basically.
1. Make a statement with your strong qualities and why you think you'd be a great pharmacist,
2. An example story of a past experience to help strengthen it.
3. Then if you have any weaknesses in your transcript, you should explain something about it so it doesn't seem so weak.
I suggest you get someone to look over it, like a health career advisor for more help.
